Today product lifecycle management (PLM) is an important element of a company´s success. During the last 30 years usb was very busy in supporting and consulting companies in the implementation of PLM systems. We recognized that particulary small firms dismissed the idea of a PLM implementation. Although they are committed to the advantages of a PLM system, the investment costs and the effort to run this system seemed to be too high.
